Privacy Policy

Lookscreen is built to need as little of your data as possible. No analytics, no ads, no tracking — here is exactly what the app touches, and why.

The short version

You can design and download wallpapers without telling us anything — your draft lives in your own browser. If you sign in with Google to save wallpapers, we store your basic Google profile and your saved designs, and nothing else. We run no analytics scripts, show no ads, and never sell or share data for advertising.

Designing without an account

The studio autosaves your work-in-progress to your browser's local storage, on your device. It never leaves your machine unless you act — pressing Copy URL encodes your design settings (colors, layout, template choices) into the URL itself. That URL contains your design, not your identity; it holds only what you put into the design.

If you sign in

Signing in is optional and only exists to save wallpapers to your account. We use Google sign-in through Firebase Authentication, which gives us your name, email address, profile picture, and a Google account identifier. We use these to show you're signed in and to attach your saved wallpapers to your account — nothing else. Saved designs are stored in Google Cloud Firestore.

Saved wallpaper links

Every saved wallpaper gets a link with a long random identifier, so your phone's Shortcut can fetch the image each morning without signing in. Anyone who has that exact link can view the generated image — the link is the key. The links are practically unguessable, but treat them like any private URL: a design containing personal dates is only as private as the link itself.

Server logs and rendering

Wallpaper images are rendered on Vercel's edge servers when your phone (or browser) requests them. Like any web server, those requests produce standard operational logs — IP address, request URL, timestamp — kept briefly by Vercel and used only to run and debug the service. We do not build profiles from them.

Services we rely on

  • Google Firebase — sign-in and the saved-wallpaper database (only used once you sign in).
  • Vercel — hosts the site and renders wallpaper images.
  • Google Fonts — serves the app's typefaces, which means your browser requests them from Google's servers.
  • PokéAPI — only if you use the Pokédex template: your browser fetches Pokémon data directly from pokeapi.co while you configure it. Nothing about you is sent beyond the request itself.

Each of these processes data under its own privacy policy. We add no other third parties: no analytics, no ad networks, no social pixels.

Cookies and local storage

We set no tracking cookies. The app uses your browser's local storage for two things: your studio draft, and — if you sign in — Firebase's session data that keeps you signed in. Clearing site data in your browser removes both.

Keeping and deleting your data

Saved wallpapers can be deleted anytime from the account menu in the studio; deletion is immediate and the wallpaper's link stops working. To delete your account and everything attached to it, email us at contact@lookscreen.io and we'll remove it promptly. Your local draft is yours — it lives in your browser and clears with your browser data.

Children

Lookscreen is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change what data the app touches — for example, if paid plans arrive — we'll update this page and the date at the top. Meaningful changes will be visible here before they take effect.
