Agreement
These terms are a contract between you and Lookscreen, the operator of lookscreen.io. By using the site, the studio, or a wallpaper URL it produces, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
The service
Lookscreen is a wallpaper configurator: you design an iPhone lock-screen wallpaper in the studio, and the service renders it as an image — on demand, at a URL your phone's Shortcuts automation can fetch every day. The daily automation runs on your device using Apple's Shortcuts app; we provide the image endpoint, not the automation itself.
Your account
You can use most of Lookscreen without an account. Saving wallpapers requires signing in with Google. You're responsible for activity on your account, and we may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.
Your designs
Your wallpaper designs are yours. So that the service can work, you grant us a limited license to store your saved designs and render and deliver them as images — to you, and to anyone you give a wallpaper link to. That license exists only to operate the service and ends when you delete the design or your account.
Wallpaper links
Saved wallpapers are served at links containing a long random identifier, without sign-in, so your phone can fetch them automatically. Anyone with such a link can view that wallpaper image. Sharing the link is sharing the wallpaper — that's a feature, but it's your choice to make.
Acceptable use
Don't abuse the service: no attempting to access other people's accounts or data, no probing or disrupting the infrastructure, no automated bulk requests to the rendering endpoints beyond the daily refresh they're built for, and no using the service for anything unlawful. The rendering endpoints exist to serve wallpapers to phones, not as a general-purpose image API.
Third-party content
The Pokédex template displays Pokémon data and artwork fetched from the community-run PokéAPI. Pokémon and Pokémon character names are trademarks of Nintendo, Creatures Inc., and GAME FREAK Inc. Lookscreen is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them. The template is offered for personal wallpaper use only.
Our property
The Lookscreen name, design, code, and templates belong to us. These terms don't grant you any right to them beyond using the service as intended — the wallpapers you generate from your own designs are, of course, yours to keep and use.
Price and changes to the service
Lookscreen is currently free, with limits (such as the number of saved wallpapers) that may change. We may introduce paid plans in the future; if we do, nothing you've already saved will be silently taken away without notice. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service — where reasonably possible, we'll give notice before changes that break existing wallpaper URLs.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that wallpapers will render every morning, that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it fits any particular purpose. A missed refresh leaves yesterday's wallpaper on your phone — the service is designed to fail that gently, but we can't promise it always will.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lookscreen and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, for a free service, is zero.
Termination
You can stop using Lookscreen anytime; deleting your saved wallpapers and account removes your data from our systems. We may terminate or suspend access for violations of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — your ownership of your designs, disclaimers, liability limits — survive it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves; the date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised terms.
